Many of our regular readers will know that we had to suspend the Dr Mary Noble Memorial Award Scheme during 2021 & 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last winner of the award in 2020, was Bonnyrigg Primary School [P5 Classes].
Earlier this year, we managed to resume our local history competition and three of the four local primary schools took part, Burnbrae, Hawthornden and Lasswade.
We were aware that the schools had their own local history projects within their year’s activities, so we decided to tap into that, rather than set a specific topic for our competition.
The 2023 winner was Lasswade Primary School[P5 classes].
Congratulations to them and we look forward to next year’s competition.
